Dream turned to reality?

Question:

As of right now I’m living in Yuma, AZ, but was born and raised in Wisconsin and it’s where I’ve always wanted to go to college. I’m a sophomore in high school this year, but will be graduating a year early – next year. I hope to be accepted to MBBC in the fall of 2013, it is my dream school! I have prayed long and hard about what god wants me to do with my life and I feel like he is calling me to be a teacher and I think Maranatha is where he wants me to go. I plan to get my bachelors majoring in early childhood education and minoring in special education. I was just wondering if there was any advice you could give me to help my dream become a reality.

Answer:

Sara,

It always thrills me to hear of students with a heart for the Lord wanting to come to Maranatha! Congratulations on graduating early!  Sounds like you’re a hard worker!  If you feel as though the Lord is calling you to be a teacher, I know Maranatha has an excellent early childhood major. It is only an associates degree  so maybe you would be interested in elementary education as your major? We have some girls who take early childhood as a minor.

As to making your dream a reality? Sounds like you’re praying about your future. Continue staying surrendered to the Lord’s will! Maybe come for a visit. I know a huge factor in solidifying a college choice is a visit to the campus! As to the very next step you could make? APPLY. :) I’m excited about the Lord’s plan for your life!
